Neuroscientists have discovered that when you engage the brain in meditation, it gets better not just at meditating but at a wide range of self control skills including attention focus, stress management, impulse control and self awareness.


People who meditate regularly aren't just better at these things but over time their brains become finely tuned, will-power machines.


A person who is not disturbed by the incessant flow of desires – that enter like rivers into the ocean, which is ever being filled but is always still – can alone achieve peace, and not the man who strives to satisfy such desires.

yatantaś ca dṛḍha-vratāḥ

namasyantaś ca māṁ bhaktyā

nitya-yuktā upāsate
